Yamanashi

Yamanashi Prefecture has one of its most important World Heritages Mt. Fuji. Besides other mountains also gather there including Mt. Yatsugatake, Southern Alps Ranges. Its daylight hours are the longest in Japan; Yamanashi is blessed with great amount of flowers and fruits too.

Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan, and has an elevation of 3,776 meters. In 2013 it was registered as World Heritage.
In its nearby areas of Mt. Fuji there are five lakes from which the magnificent Mt. Fuji can be viewed. Also around the areas there are flower parks with colorful flower blossom, and fruits farm for fruits that be tasted through a whole year. Lots of sightseeing and activities are fun for experiencing.

Fuji Five Lakes

Around Mt. Fuji there are five lakes, which are Lake Yamanakako, Lake Kawaguchiko, Lake Motosuko, Lake Saiko and Lake Shojiko.
These five lakes are the iconic spots in Mt. Fuji area and much favored by people.
From Lake Yamanakako or Lake Motosuko the magic view of Mt. Fuji overlapping with the sun is called “Dimond Fuji”, and is a spectacular scenery.

Flower Fields nearby Mt. Fuji

Under the azure sky Mt. Fuji has been the backdrop for carpeting flower field in different seasons.
In spring sakura of Arakurayama Sengen Park and Lake Kawaguchiko is especially popular, and lots of visitors from Japan and overseas come for its blossom.
For the flower field there is also Shibazakura of pink or white color, and 130000 tulips are brightly in bloom too.

Fruits Picking

Yamanashi Prefecture is called the Fruits Kingdom, and around Mt. Fuji there are many fruits farms. At these farms are cultivated strawberry, peach, grape, cherry or pear etc.. Picking different types of fruits in four seasons is a fun activity. Fruits picking is very popular among Japanese and foreigners, especially for families to make such experience together.
