Kyoto

Kyoto is one of the most iconic cities, and a symbolic sightseeing place in Japan.
The charm of Kyoto lies in its history and splendid scenery weaved by its nature.
The historical site and World Cultural Heritage Kiyomizu Temple was built about 1200 years ago. Many other sites are Kinkakuji Temple, Heian Shrine and Byodoin Temple, from which Japan’s history and culture can be sensed.
For the natural scenery, the sakura and autumn leaves of Arashiyama and the unbelievable view of Amanohashidate are great attractions in four seasons.

Amanohashidate

Amanohashidate is located by Sea of Japan to the north of Kyoto. It is also one of Three Views of Japan and a special scenic place of interest.
The sand bar of Amanohashidate is 3.6 km long in total, and 20m~170m wide. On this rare shape of sand about 5000 pine trees are planted and flourishing. From being far away it looks like a bridge across the sky, therefore the name of Amanohashidate was given.
When taking a walk or boat ride, Amanohashidate can be viewed. Or if standing on the top of mountain, the full appealing landscape can be overviewed too.
Here when Amanohashidate is viewed upside down or practice of "matanozoki" in Japanese, it looks like a dragon dancing in the sky and this view is also called “Hiryokan”.
When you come to Amanohashidate please do make this experience of “matanozoki” for the amazing view.

Arashiyama

Arashiyama is a symbolic sightseeing of Kyoto.
In Arashiyama when being on the Togetsu Bridge you can overview the beautiful sceneries, such as gently flowing river, sakura in spring, greenery of summer and splendid autumn leaves. The nature in four seasons and its elegance can be felt here In Arashiyama.
There are many ways to enjoy this area. It is pleasant to take a walk on Togetsu Bridge while hearing the babbling river, or to sit in the boat going downstream of the river.
Besides it is also a nice experience to wear Kimono in Arashiyama Park, and from there to see the view and have a touch of harmony of Japanese people.

Funaya

Surrounded by sea and mountains, Ine’s Funaya are in the town of Ine in the north of Kyoto.
Ine’s Funaya are private resident houses built along Ine Bay. Funaya is a special and traditional architected house in this area. Its first floor is served as storage house and second floor as living space.
This group of Ine’s Funaya is designated as Japan’s important traditional architecture preserved area.
For these Funaya there is a Japanese nostalgic atmosphere among the houses.
Nowadays many people from both Japan and overseas come here for visit.
When the weather is nice, the azure sea is in particular impressive and such beautiful view cannot be missed.
